Risk it all because you've got nothing to lose

This is your path and these are your shoes

Don't look back on life and wonder what if

Developing courage goes against impulse, it requires a shift

In this society we worship the mind and ignore the hearts gift

Know that there's no such thing as control

Be still, do your part, and let life unfold

Take action in the direction of your dreams

In this world nothing is what it seems

You define what success is for you

This journey is about who you become and less about what you do

The opinion you have of yourself matters more than the opinion others have of you

Stay true

Be your own best friend

Here to dance, to bounce and to blend

To stand out in the crowd

To aim high while keeping both feet on the ground

Keep it simple, keep it real

Life is something you're meant to feel

Embrace the pain and all the rain

Show emotion because none of us are sane

I believe addiction to anything is more of a tendency than a set regimen; more of a proclivity than a necessity. Of course there is the physical withdrawal from certain drugs but there is no withdrawal from habit. Everything we lose must be replaced by something. We cannot abide, no more than nature, a void. Which is why so many fail in giving something up...they don't replace it with anything else. A cigarette smoker might chew gum to quit but then give up the gum and return to smoking. So I believe habit needs changing and not extinguished. If one could take every destructive habit and form a constructive habit from it, the result would be a more productive lifestyle and a happier life. Not an easy thing to do but sometimes it is a matter of life or death.
