Sea of whiskeyA Poem by MikeThis is about a man trying to drink his life away.Drown me in a sea of whiskey, don’t let me
breathe I
don’t want to see the light, you can’t change my mind Whiskey is my only friend the only option to
see me through this pain called life I
hope and pray for the day to come when my body will finally be overcome by this sea of
whiskey
Life is hard and whiskey makes it better so
give me a bottle of that lovely brown nectar I
don’t need a glass it’s alright I’ll drink straight from the bottle and just
sleep here tonight I’ve worked a thousand hours and dreamed a
million dreams but life still found a way to break me So drown me in a sea of whiskey, and let
me be I
don’t want your sympathy, this world is cold and the people are rotten that’s
why I
turned to this beautiful drink I just want to be forgotten © 2016 MikeFeatured Review
