DEPRESSION

DEPRESSION

A Poem by carl

Locked in a world of imagination
The only way out,a daydream
Your preferred lifestyle,a mindset
Your sad personality,gracefully fed
With grief and regret

Pop back to consciousness , all regret
Wishing you weren't the soul trapped in this body
Smiles and laughter too fake they spell feign
Friends cant see through, your inner-self on free fall

Life unfair gravity swallowing your consciousness
Confusion,unwanted ally
Getting high and laid,unnecessary comfort
Goals and ambition,a lost course
Disappointment and disgrace,you become
Humanity and existence, you decline
Death, you embrace

That's all you get
From DEPRESSION

i really like the use of the comma and the stop and start nature of the flow. its really well done and adds a lot to the thoughts behind the poem. the last section really drives it home, the correlations you make here are spot on. good job.

thank you.
It has a few typos that could be fixed, but overall, I enjoyed it!
