Slipping Away

Slipping Away

A Poem by Austin
"

Sad face.

"
Day by day you're slipping away
from what we started this past May.
My fears encompass me today;
my thoughts and fears run astray,
and I'm hoping, praying to find a way
to make what we have stay.

May the eighth was hardly a date
but still it did kick off our fate.
We ate Italian and stayed out late
and we were both in a happy state
knowing only each other and nothing of hate,
and it was a good mark on a clean slate.

Time has gone by and I've wondered why
there can't be a "you and I."
I can't hold back every tear and I cry
because I'm running out of time,
a very precious thing in my
life, but oh how time does fly.
