Your Bull-Riding Country Boy

Your Bull-Riding Country Boy

A Poem by Austin

I know I don't hold a candle
to a bull-riding country boy.
I don't know a  lot about rodeos,
unlike your country boy.
But I'd be the kind of man who
could never be destroyed.
I know I can't compare to
that bull-riding country boy.

Your friendship means a lot to me.
What do I mean to you?
When I'm facing a hard time,
you help me make it through.
But when you won't even tell me
why it is you want to cry,
do you tell it to your country boy?
Does he help you survive?

I know I hold no candle
to a bull-riding country boy.
