Fate Intervened

Fate Intervened

A Poem by Austin
"

A good-bye message to a friend I've never seen, and will probably never speak to again.

"
There was a person I didn't know,
but I called them friend and told them so.
She was always there to heal and mend,
and was a faithful friend 'till the end.
Fate intervened and life stepped in.
It became difficult to talk to my friend.
I decided it was for the best I leave it be,
And that was unfortunate, I now see.
Now I've tried so very, very hard,
but the passageway to her is barred.
She has a life, and college, and guys,
and she'll never know what she was in my eyes.
