Alex Asked About You

Alex Asked About You

A Poem by Austin

Alex asked about you today.
He remembers, and he still cares.
"She is doing well," I say.
Then quiet was the air.

Sometimes we still mention you.
How good you used to be!
But I understand what band can do,
And I'm glad it makes you happy.

We stood there for a little while.
He replied, but not aloud.
I told him you're the section leader.
And I know that he was proud.
