Questions

Questions

A Poem by Austin
"

All kinds of questions storm my mind, now. I've typed up a few of my thoughts here.

"
So many questions race through my mind.
If only the answers were easier to find.
---
I've told myself the same story of corruption time and time again.
I've sold myself the same thoughts about a lost friend.
But this is now, and that was then.

I've thought about the broken girl and the ways of old.
I've told myself about crimes against the soul.
But what if those truths weren't whole?

I've sat and thought about halos and horns.
I've written things about roses and thorns.
But am I the only one who mourns?

I've made metaphors about history and hate.
I've taken a liking to questioning fate.
But how long do I go on at this rate?
---
What if I was right back then?
What if I'm wrong now?
How can I know?

This piece is extremely beautiful and flows nicely, however it is a bit vague. I love how it flows and it is extremely easy to read. The rhyming compliments it nicely. I can't help but to wonder, though, what the poem is truly about. Keep writing!
