R. I. P. Dawg the Iguana

R. I. P. Dawg the Iguana

A Poem by Austin
"

My science teacher's pet iguana, Dawg, died yesterday. Wrote this as a farewell message.

"
Our dear Dawg was no ordinary pet.
He loved and put up with all the children he met.
Sometimes he was the only one quiet,
and sometimes the noise from his cage sounded like a riot.
He climbed around in his cage so happily then,
but now he's seen the last of mortal men.
He sits in iguana heaven; his heartbeat has ceased.
Good-bye, Dawg, and rest in peace.
