Talking to Her (An Analogy)

Talking to Her (An Analogy)

A Poem by Austin

It was like climbing a mountain.
It was hard climbing, but I knew I was nearing the summit.
As time went by I got really tired.
It was really hard not to rest, but I didn't.
I worked harder knowing there had to be a summit.
When I finally reached the pinnacle, I didn't know I was there.
So used to climbing, I kept wanting to go up.
But that was as tall as my mountain got.
And then you pushed me off the other side.
