The Eternal, Internal Battle

The Eternal, Internal Battle

A Poem by Austin

Since the First People roamed,
a battle has been raging.
It's not a battle fought between people,
but sometimes it causes such conflict.
It's a battle raging within yourself.

It's the cliche battle of good and evil.
You make good decisions.
You make bad decisions.
This battle, it's in your heart and your mind.
It determines your eternal fate.

What you feel and what you think shapes the battle.
When you are bad or dirty in your mind you're helping the Bad Ones.
When you help others and do what you know is right, you're on the right side.
But they will try to trick you, the Bad Ones.
Listen to your heart, and listen to your reason.

In this day in time there are too many Bad people.
They've been misled and tricked.
Don't let them influence you.
Be very careful about what you do and who you turn to.
They sneak up on you when you're blind and confused.
