I (Don't?) Want to Fall Over and Die

A Story by Austin

I want to fall over and die.
But if I did, I'd never get better at my martial art, now would I?
And, after all, that's what I'm mad about.
And if I died, I'd never learn to play- I mean really play- piano.
Can't forget about all the people that depend on me.
If I died, they'd all be out of luck.
And I'd die angry, which I don't want to do.  I'd prefer to go out with a smile.
Oh, and if I died, it's not like that many people would miss me.
I don't want to fall over and die,
But the torture that's coming is a wave of pain.
How did I get to this point?

Another beautiful piece in which the death question arises. We wonder what life would be like after we leave, what we would've left behind. Such a tough question to deal with and can send our mind making summersaults and kartwheels for a solution. You portrayed a great idea and in a very good manner. A lot would be left behind if you left...if any of us left...we would all leave behind a lot in which we would regret leaving.
