Confessing Mistakes

I've been dumb

and I've been wrong.

I've been a little stupid

all along.

 

I've been blind;

of mind and soul.

But I was able to find

my niche: my role.

 

So now I see

I understand.

And now my life

isn't nearly so bland.

 

I've been dumb

and I've failed before,

but my heart's in the right place

forevermore.
