Renewed Hope

Renewed Hope

A Poem by Austin

For the last few months, I've lost all respect for you, I've hated you, and I told myself you were a waste of time.

Last night, you proved everything I believed about you wrong with a simple conversation.

Nothing much, you just simply said replied when I said "hello"

I don't know if I should believe my heart, but it's telling me not to hate you anymore.

To respect you.

To not consider you a waste of my time.

Because a long time ago, we made an agreement. We agreed to be friends.

And friends are never a waste of time.
