A Poem by Austin
"

Written about my old friends, and how they've been there for me in my greatest times on need, but how we end up going separate ways in the end.

"
Enemies attacked me from every way,
but still I continued day after day.
I was almost defeated, but I got away.
So now I am telling you how my life was saved.

Firstly of all, I emptied my mind.
I left my negativity behind.
On to the battlefield waltzed I
and I planned to fight until I died.

Thing was, however, I stood alone.
And if only I had known
There is strength in numbers and lonely I'd grown
I stood without ally, my weaknesses shown.

Captured was I, and really with ease.
My enemies tried to make me plead,
tried to make me beg to be free,
but that wouldn't work; not on me.

The world I once knew became a violent place.
My life became a heated chase,
With weapons and terror up in my face.
I almost was finished, and my enemies filled up the place.

When all out of nowhere, there stood a friend.
Not planning to let my life end,
I used all I had for a message to send
of my old broken weapon this person could mend.

But my newfound friend wasn't leaving my side,
said it's time to do or to die.
But I wasn't planning to end my life,
so I lashed out to end this fight.

After the battle, wounded were we.
And when we were rested, we had to leave.
I wanted to stay with my new friend,
but separate ways we went in the end.

Now I am hunting all over this world
trying to find my friend, this girl.
But as I have heard from one traveling by
"Life just gets in the way sometimes."
