Far Away

Far Away

A Poem by falling_toxic_rain

What if you woke to the call that said I left?

Would you come running to find me?

You always told me that it was never too late.

But that night, you never came.

I took the long walk far away.

I wished to stay.

Far away.

Now you can’t find me

Other than the place where my body now lays.

If you woke to the call that said I left,

Would you come running to find me?

Would you stay

Here besides me?

I left that night looking for something,

But you never came to find me.

And so I stayed,

Far away.

Here comes the rain,

Pouring down on me today.

It was the same as that day.

Don’t worry too much,

I think I’m in a better place.

Promise me one thing,

You’ll forget my name.

If you woke to the call that said I left,

Would you come running to find me?

Would you stay

Here besides me?

I left that night looking for something.

I really liked this poem. Some poems can tell a story with very few words and big meaning and that is what you did here. Nice write.
