Chapter 2

For days this had continued. It had soon gotten to weeks that i was sitting on the fourth floor with no one by my side but my journal. I had passed by the pole multiple times but hadn't talked to the pole kids. "Make friends with the pole kids" they said "They'll guide you through and watch your back" the words of Mammoth an Victor echoing through my head.

Ah, Mammoth, he was a friend i had met in the summer, as i mentioned before. What i didn't mention was that at the time i had fallen for him. Ah what a strange thing it was.

Mammoth was much taller then I. His skin was slightly darker. His big, brown eyes filled with joy and his brown hair, not too long, was following his every movement. Swaying in the wind. I loved him.

At the time, me being a freashman, i was still shy. Every day for two weeks I'd pass by the pole without saying a word. I was hoping that they'd talk to me. Soon i had made a friend. His name was gary. That was also around the time Mammoth and i started dating. I had still strayed, although not too far, from the pole kids and sat with gary across from them in the lobby. Since Mammoth had gym while i had OPTA he would come by before and after to give me a small kiss.

I was very into oragami. I had started to bring small papers and making ninja stars with them. It was the interesting way that i made these ninja stars that made gary and his friends watch me make countless times for them, each time more amazed then the last. To them, it was as though i was walking on water or something. One of the days i was making the stars gary took it and threw it to the pole kids. It was a while before i asked thm to give it back, and even when i did i took gary with me. They were amazed that you could even make such things with nothing but paper. That was the day the pole kids had started talking to me.

They were really kind people. I never understood why people feared them that much. Mammoth had been with me more offten. He sat with the pole kids and I although they considered me a pole kid too. They were an interesting bunch of people. Justin and Kyle always tackled me when they saw me. It was fun. Everything had changed for the better.

Of course with my luck nothing ever changes. My luck had run out again. It was a night that Mammoth was walking with my friends and I. We were trailing them and he kept repeating "you should be with someone better". It wouldn't have bothered me if he hadn't been saying to for a week before as well. I had actually though he wanted to get rid of me because not too long before then he had slapped me. So I broke up with him.
At that point victor and I had become good friends. Mammoth was crying and as soon as he left I broke down in tears as well.

And I left in tears...

Walked home in tears...

And never stopped crying after...

As I walked home Victor had called me. At first I was scared to pick up the phone. I thought he'd yell at me, but i picked it up anyway. He managed to calm me down a bit. I ran into a few friends and told Victor I'd call him back. Masha and her boyfriend Mike were the ones i ran into. They looked worried when they saw me. I didn't stop crying and went home.

The sadness wouldn't go away....

It just wouldn't go away...

Nothing ever goes away...

Well, at least not fully...
