Simple Words In VainA Poem by Vanessamy lyrics sorry if they suck?Is anybody out there listening? Or do these simple words go out in vain? Oh there’s a girl on the corner tonight. Her tears plummet down in shame. See, the world stole away all her hope, And everyone told her to go away. So she’ll go on down this bereaved road, Because no one will light her way. Is anybody out there listening? Or do these simple words go out in vain? I’ve watched the world burn down around me, And it just doesn’t feel the same. Now there’s a man who has no faith left at all. Each and every day, he holds out his hand, Out for us to lead him out of the empty shadows. But we’re too busy going on our way. Is anybody out there listening? Or do these simple words go out in vain? Oh my friends we have left you alone. For far too long we’ve hid in shame. So know that someone’s out there. Listening, and your words are not in vain. © 2010 VanessaAuthor's Note
