Savage.

Savage.

A Poem by Zöe Selemane-Kiangala

It has a duel meaning. (:

If you showed me, just once. How to do it...
Your eyes light up ablaze, with fire, hunger, passion. Your body breathing heavily, the sweat rolls down your cheek. The body in the empty field. Naked.

If you could have showed me, just once. How to do it...
I think my body would make a joyous river from my eyes to my feet, id bite my tongue and wait for your approval to strike. Feed.

If you could have just showed me, just once. How to do it...
The body is so cold. Icy stone. Its yours, mine, ours. Flesh to share. Its so still, so perfect. Waiting for me.

If you had just showed me, just once. How to do it...
Your hands enveloped in the carcass' liquid batteries. Your lips, kiss the wound so tenderly, drink from the spring. I watch impatiently. I want to drink the elixir of life too.

Why didn't you show me, just once. How to do it...
The gleaming blade glides through the skin. Piece for you, piece for me. No. I crave this moment. I threw myself at it, ripped shreds of human flesh. The hunger in my eyes.
Its the language of the beasts.

Why didn't you just show me, just once. How to do it...
There is no reason to look back. We left the corpse behind, dead, lifeless, craters in it. We have a long way to go. A long time to think.

Why the hell didn't you just show me, just once. How to do it...
Your body looks so appetizing, like its mine. To just, take. I want you inside me. Running through my body, my veins. Its what I need. Its what I crave.

If you had just showed me, just once. How to do it...
I probably wouldn't have lied to your face. So trusting. I wouldn't have drove that knife into the nape of your neck.

If you had just showed me, just once. How to do it...
The blood on my face drips down onto my dress. Drenched. But still you look so perfect.
So still.
So dead.

I like the poem not only because of the images it brings to my mind, but also for the motif. I think the repetition brings the piece together because it's all the person wants to know and I like how there are two meanings :)

I'm 17. I like reading and writing poetry. However, I appreciate art in all forms. Its probably what I live for and crave. I like colours, pretty things and shiny things. If you want anything of yours.. more..
