Mona Lisa

Mona Lisa

A Story by Cody C

There are many myths and beliefs behind one of the world’s most famous painting.(Mona Lisa). The portrait was painted by Leonardo DaVinci a famous artist, and inventor. DaVinci has been for years  portrayed as a mysterious man for different reasons. One reason would be that he has always used secret codes through out his works. No one really is for sure if they have cracked his codes or not, its still a mystery to this day. Many believe the Mona Lisa was a self portrait of DaVinci himself. Others believe the portrait was portraying a man, particularly DaVinci’s lover. Nobody really knows for sure. The picture to me is very creepy looking due to the fact that it looks like she is always watching you. The creepy little smirk on her face gives me the feeling that she represents evil. Many people have different opinions about the painting. Im not really sure what it is about Mona Lisa, but i do know there is a secret behind it, i also believe we will never know what it is either.

I've been fascinated with the Mona Lisa for years. I agree with you, there's definetly a secret behind it and i dont think we will ever know. I've always wondered if that was Leonardo's intent and what he would say if he knew the controversy his artwork inspires.
