all good things come to an end

all good things come to an end

A Poem by conversations with her pen..

this is where it begins and ends, hello my friend it was so nice to see you again

then there's the strange thought of them forgetting you and eventually, you hear their voice that says oh you look great, but what was your name again

and now that were passed that, let's sit on rooftops and hum our favourite songs while we indulge in this soon to be great love

let's scream at the top of our lungs, telling each other I love you and this is where we’ve always belonged

you and I, we’ll soak up in the sun while you hold me in your arms and whisper in my ear saying you’re everything I want

let's take pictures that we can look at it when we’ve grown old together, so maybe one day our children will look back at it and witness the amazing times we’ve spent together

remember that time you once told me that you couldn’t stop thinking about your future life, and how you realized you didn’t want any part of it if I wasn’t your future wife

I miss those nights, where our silly little fights turn into play fights and just an awesome time

and now you’ll let me lay on your chest and you’ll look out in the open, meanwhile were both left with a million thoughts that will continue to remain unspoken

maybe it was the lack of communication, and now we spend time apart knowing that it will only cause us frustration

we now spend more time screaming and yelling, so caught up that we haven’t realized this story seems like it already found its ending

I thought you said you’ll always be my motivation and I was your everything, or I was wrong and this was one great big illusion

and now we’ve concluded that you and I no longer remain exclusive, no longer my cupid, love is stupid

this is where it begins and ends, hello my friend it was so nice to see you again

“do you ever think this great love will reoccur again?”

There seems to be a heartbreak somewhere but one that recurs and spins around to create frissons of wonder if.. The words you use and how really lure the reader into wanting to know what happened, why, did you share, forgive or what... fine writing that.. not merely laying words like a path but beckoning hungry reader to follow it. Great writing, intelligently focussed on the movie you quote.

I watched the piece and it seems to mirror this write in the way relationships can become stale and samish and boring once the glamor and romantic enthusiasm has worn off. I guess people often have high expectations and the early rush of excitement needs to be tempered with real life if longevity is to be.

WOW. This is written so wonderfully. It is painfully beautiful and literally so good that I don't even have the words. Thank you for this flawless piece of writing - an absolute pleasure to read.

This is a good job of free-association type writing, where one thing leads to another & another, on & on. Many times this type of writing is considered brilliant by the writer, but it reads boring to another. In your case, you've nailed this form & this is a great example of how it's done . . . having a strong point of view & compelling storyline . . . allowing extraneous fluff to gather around the edges but never to the point of obscuring the strong march of this piece to it's logical conclusion. I lived about six different relationships as I was reading this & the transitions are nicely smooth & transparent . . . one dream or memory just leads to the next . . . it's the same way life beckons us along until we can't believe ten years just zoomed by since "whatever" . . . Your writing is nicely intense but not overly-dramatic. Just right. (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I LOVE this writing so much! i love the idea of going back to the memories that the two lovers had and never had a single thought of parting ways at the end. I'm pretty sure tons of people relate to this and find it odd why it always end that way. Even though it is a sad writing (which i enjoy reading) I'm very happy that you found the right words and able write it beautifully.

Please keep on writing, you're amazing!

thanks for the thoughtful review,

and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Well.... Though i think..... That happy things do come to end....... And according to my experiences neither happy nor sad days last long enough.... Though we don't want any sad day... But still.......and as far as true love is concerned..... Maybe it can be put at the back due to some circumstances..... But it never losses it's charm...

"and now we’ve concluded that you and i no longer remain exclusive, no longer my cupid, love is stupid" I love, love, love the flow throughout, but this part caught me here. Flow means a lot to me, and you did that immaculately.

There was a melancholy vibe throughout, the title fit well, and I got a low-key spoken-word vibe. I dig this a lot!
