My ReflectionA Poem by Tabetha GreenIt's about heart-break, clinging on to what you love even after its gone and it's also about hoping for a better tomorrow. It's over, we're done, you say and you start to walk away But what about the you that you left Living and breathing inside of me? How can I ever forget you? when you're my very reflection In my every smile, I see yours In my every laugh, I hear yours Everything I say and do, Why does it remind me of you? When did we get so alike? And when did your dreams become mine? when did whats mine become ours and why did it all fall apart? I etched your name upon my heart I let you into my soul now all I have left are deep scars and a me who's turned into you Maybe thats what I get for loving you For living for your smile and longing for your voice I get to keep a part of you and though it hurts, it keeps me alive for now Maybe I'll wake up one day to find that my soul was whole again to find the heart that you broke had healed that day I'll cast you away from my head, from my heart, from my being with not a hint of pain or remorse Every sign of you will be lost and you won't be there in the mirror I wonder how it'll feel to be just...me © 2011 Tabetha GreenReviews
