Edward

Chapter 3

One, two, three. Kick. One, two, three. Kick. I felt beads of sweat fall down my face. The creak of the metal echoes through the work-out room as I worked the punching bag. One, two, three. Kick. My ear radio changed to a slow song about falling in love. One. Kick. Two. Kick. Three. Soon Dmitri popped up in my mind and I kicked the punching bag as hard as I could. With a crack and bang, the punching bag was disconnected from the ceiling and kicked across the room. I groaned and quickly changed the music to a rock song. I grabbed a small towel and wiped my face to rid it of sweat. I decided to leave since tomorrow I needed to get ready for the mission.

As I locked the work-out room behind me, I heard something coming down the hall. I took out my ear plugs and listened for the noise. Someone was crying.

"Hello?" I called out.

"Help me!" a voice replied.

I ran down the dim-lit hall searching for the voice. I stopped when the hallway broke off in two directions.

"Where are you?" I yelled.

"Please! I need you!"

Suddenly I saw all red and my head started pounding. I crouched down and screamed. Then I felt a warm hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see the boy from my dreams. He was older probably my age. He grew up a lot since I remember him from my dreams. He was taller and his blond hair was more brown. He looked at me worried, but once he studied my face he quickly helped me to my feet. He had also gotten stronger too.

"I knew you would come!" His voice had changed to a more deeper tone. He almost sounded like Dmitri. I growled inside and mentally shook the thought of him from my mind.

I noticed the sound of dripping. I looked down and saw there was blood dripping from his hand.
"Are you hurt?" I asked pointing at his hand. He seemed mesmerized by my voice. He stood there frozen staring at me.

Again I asked more hurriedly, " Are you hurt?"

The boy gasped and grabbed my hand,"Oh, God, I hope we are not too late. You have to save my mom!!"
Before I could ask what happened, he started running pulling me behind him. He finally stopped and fell to the ground. I gasped when I saw his mom with a nasty gun shot wound to the shoulder. There was so much blood.

"She's still alive!!" He grabbed his mom's hand and looked up to me with tears in his eyes ,"Help her please!"

I looked around to see if there was anyone else around. I could barely see from just the little light from the moon and some weird contraption with wheels. With my powers I could see we were off a road. There might be a town nearby, but by the amount of blood this woman lost she would never make it.

"Don't you have a communicator device??" I asked.

He gave me a puzzled look, "You mean a phone? It died. Please you've got to help her! She is going to die."

"What about that thing?" I pointed to contraption.

"We would never make it to town in time."

I heard him mutter under his breath, "I can't believe I forgot to pick her up! Why did she walk by herself at night?"

"What do I do??" I asked.

"I don't know? You are the angel. Tell God to bring her back to me or heal her. "

He still thinks I'm an angel. I stopped myself from denying it. I knelt down and put my hand over the bloody wound.

Silently I prayed, " God if you really there! Please don't let this women die." I closed my eyes and then with every cell of my body I tried to push my energy into this women. Everything went to a red haze and I heard the boy gasped. I looked down at the women and saw her wound had healed and she was breathing normally.

"You did it!" He hugged me and whispered, "How will I ever repay you?"

"Tell me your name." I asked softly.

"Edward."

The ground started to shake and I looked down to see a black pit forming. Edward didn't seem to see it.

"What's your name," he asked.

"K..."

A growl coming from the fully grown pit shouted, "You have done enough! Return!"

"I have to go Edward."

"No! Not yet!" Edward grabbed my arm.

A black snake-like arm grabbed my leg and started pulling me to the hole. "Please don't go."

I screamed as started falling down the hole. The voice in the hole began to laugh evilly.

I heard a crack as my back hit a metal table. I groaned and looked up to see where I was. I screamed. I was in the room that would always haunt my thoughts. The testing room. When I was first enrolled in AU, they brought me here and put needles in me and tried to figure out how I had powers. They would send electronic shock waves throughout my body and made me do things that would give kids nightmares.

"That was a stupid mistake." A voice echoed in the room. I saw something moved in the corner. Slowly the shadow moved forward, and it revealed Elite Kyle. He wasn't wearing his royal garments, but a plain tight blue t-shirt and jeans. I was shocked when his eyes were dark purple. After awhile they turned to his normal blue.

"Elite Kyle." I jumped off the table and bowed. Unexpectedly I felt my back slam against the metal walls. I opened my eyes to see Kyle had me up against it.

"You should be grateful that I haven't killed you, yet."

"What do you mean," I chocked out as Kyle had his forearm against my neck.

"You know exactly what I mean. Saving that boy's mom." Kyle whispered in my ear.

How the hell did he know about that??!! Not unless he had...no he couldn't. I shook my head in disbelief. Kyle laughed and I immediately recognize it.

"You have powers!?"

"A power, but I have learned to love it. It becomes very helpful when citizens become rogue or betrayed our blessed planet," Kyle smiled.

"You are a Seer?" I gasped.

Seers used to control the planet long time ago. They had amazing ability to see everything on the planet. So, when some one was making a plan to overthrow them they knew and would kill everyone they saw even if they weren't part of the plan. They were brutal and relentless. Our planet was losing hope until a man figured out a way to communicate through minds.

Only a few knew how to do this. Together they overthrew the Seers and regain Acropolis. Ever since then everyone thought that the Seers were extinct, until now.

"Aw, you say it like it's a bad thing? " he replied innocently as his lips brushed my neck.

I would not show fear. I put my head up high and asked through gritted teeth, "How can I trust you? For all I know you aren't trying to save my people, but only to save your own skin."

"Trust me, sweet Kimora, I'm not like my ancestors." He whispered in my ear. I froze when I felt his lips brush my ear.

"Then what do you want?" I asked impatiently.

Kyle sighed and replied, "I do want to rescue the people. When I do I want to tell them the truth about my heritage. Which is why you cannot tell anyone."

"They will kill you." I replied. Kyle looked down at me and smiled. He leaned down so that his lips were inches from mine.

"Not if I reward our hero with a powerful husband who is me. Once we are married, they can't do anything about. Through you I will be accepted as a Acropolian."

I held back a gag. Marry him? He had to be crazy. I was only eighteen! Some girls do get married at eighteen on Acropolis, but it is not common. Plus he is like 27! That's a nine year difference. Disgusting.

As if reading my thoughts he said, "Don't worry, dear, I'm only 24." Six year difference. Whatever its still disgusting.

His eyes glowed as he added, "Plus together we would be unstoppable. Just imagine our children."

Oh my gosh, where's the trash can? I think I might puke. No I couldn't imagine us having kids. If Kyle wasn't holding me against the wall, I probably would have collapse to the floor.

I felt my inner voice chuckle, 'Baby.'

I growled back at it.

Kyle stroked my hair and sighed, "I better let you go. Don't want to do something I will regret."

Kyle moved away from me and stood leaning against the door frame. I tried walking forward, but I tumbled and gripped the table for support. Kyle rushed to my side, but I pushed him away.

I slowly made my way to the door, but was stopped by Kyle.

"I know this is a lot to take in, but I know you can do it. That's why I choose you for this mission."

He slowly leaned down and kissed my forehead. I felt the blood go back to my legs and shot off like a bat out hell. I ran and ran with tears running down my face. I left the main building and instead of running to the dorms I ran to the woods. What does my life had to be like hell? How dare he say that I could take it all in. I am a freaking teenager.

'You are so weak' I heard my inner voice laugh.

I gripped my head as visions filled my mind. I saw a kid looking up at me with innocent eyes as I was about to end he and his family's lives. I saw Dmitri as he confessed that he loved me. The love in his eyes was real, but I rejected him. Not wanting to accept that he did, and not wanting to risk him seeing how lost and alone I really was. My vision revealed Kyle laughing evilly as he announced to the whole planet that I would be his wife. I could see Dmitri become angry and go on a drunken rage when he heard that I would marry Kyle. I saw myself in utter sadness as I watched Kyle holding our child. Then the worst of all was seeing Edward's face as he saw the true me. A monster.

I cried like I never cried before. I cried tears of sorrow, of anger, of regret, and of disappointment in myself.

'Stand up! Go back to your room. You have a mission to complete.' My inner voice shouted.

"Just leave me alone." I said out loud.

'Do you really believe crying will make it all go away?' My inner voice sneered.

"I said Shut up!!" I said as the red haze covered my eyes.

I lifted my head to the dark skies and screamed as loud as I could. My scream was probably heard through out the planet maybe even solar system. I looked down to see tons of leaves and limbs surrounding me. I noticed all the trees where stripped of their leaves and limbs. The trees now basically looked like big sticks stuck in the ground.

I closed my eyes as exhaustion overcame me.

Replace the word "WOMEN" with "WOMAN" (not only even in this above one line but everywhere in the chapter)

"Edward" just a boy and yup! of course, if you do write more chapters then yeah, it's a right of "EDWARD" to be a part of your next chapters..because "EDWARD" is not yet done and people'd love to read more about "EDWARD'S" character because "EDWARD'S" character's what that starts the "BOOK :- THE GUARDIANS CREED"

Well, am too just a bit confuse about "KYLE" But as you mentioned that he laughed "EVILLY" then I must say, "yeah, it's his trap!" because if a man loves a woman then he never wishes to have kids because at first he loves woman so that the woman could make his life beautiful and I found this in "DMITRI" YEAH, "Dmitri" loves "Kimora" truly from the depth of his heart because he even ready to wait for "KIMORA" when she comes back after completion of her mission ... So, the answer to your question's, "Yeah, "Kyle" is not seemed good as same as "Dmitri" and his plans're not to make the world save from evils with the kids but to destroy the world with his powers and with "KIMORA'S" Powers too because when his powers'd combine with "Kimora's" powers then "Kyle" could take an advantage of "KIMORA'S" power by forcing her or blackmailing her at all so, yeah, of course, it's a trap!

Yeah, Of course, "Kimora'd" be able to complete her mission but I really don't think, "Kimora'll" because may be she'd die in end because she's sworn and if she doesn't kill people then she'd automatically be killed... but I really don't think, Kimora'll kill people or destroy the planet because "Kimora" has got an angelic heart, she's onelf an angel for "NEON" ... (O' BY THE WAY, WHY DON'T YOU CREATE A NEW CHARACTER OF "NEON" IN YOUR UPCOMING CHAPTERS AS A HANDSOME HOT SEXY AND COOL BOY?????HAHAHA)

I think Kyle is a jerk -.- he probably believes he can get whoever he wa whenever he wants. He just happened to choose Kimora . Though I think it is a trap...he just wants power..
