Just be you.A Poem by The Invisible Girl
There was a girl who was looking in a mirror
She had smile on her face But tears fell down her face She wasn't the most prettiest girl But she said she didn't care Though deep inside she thought She wasn't pretty enough The Insecurities all lies She heard She cries, and cries Until her Father came Father, o' Father Tell me it isn't true Daddy, Daddy Am I beautiful? She felt the eyes on her As she passes through the hallway Laughs and sneers Were the music in her ears The voices sang to her, "She is ugly." " She is way too fat." "Her hair is also way too flat." "Her eyes are way too big." " Why can't she be like us?" But to their surprise She held her head up high Because of what her Father told her last night You are beautiful. You are perfect. Never listen those damn lies You wonderful . You are spectacular Never change who you are! Those insecurities They are fake Plus I love you Now go show the world who you truly are Now she never looks back She looks toward the future. Honor her parents and praising her God So no more sad days No more insecurities She just a girl with many different dreams. © 2013 The Invisible GirlAuthor's Note
