Chapter 4 (Sophie)A Chapter by The Invisible Girl
~Sophie~ "Shane,
slow down. There must be a sensible reason behind this." I yelled after
him. "No. There
isn't. He is going to cause another Great War." Shane continued running
toward his father's office or should I say father-in law's office. "Shane!"
I screamed. "Stop!" "What!"
Shane turned around a yelled back," Do you think I'm okay that my father
is making a war! It would destroy the Pack, the world, and human kind. I can't
just stand around and do nothing!" I stood
shocked. Shane had never yelled at me before. I started to feel tears forming,
but I forced them to stop. Shane's face
dramatic went from anger to remorse. He scooped me up in his arms and held me
close. "Sophie, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. I just don't
want you or anyone else getting hurt." I sighed and
hugged him back. "I know. I too want to know the answers. Why would they
kill for no apparent reason?" "We'll
figure it out soon enough." "I hope
so." I smiled up at him and kissed his lips. I felt Shane relax as we
headed to the office. But once we stood in front of the double doors of
Damien's office, Shane's anger just grew furious that he burst through the
doors yelling," How could you betray your Pack?" They are about to
lose their lives! You do know that you declared war on the Demon Kingdom. The
Demon Kingdom," He started to laugh, "Do you know how many Demons
live in the Underworld? A lot!" Damien looked at Shane calmly from his
desk and said, "We aren't alone. Not only is the Romanian Pack fighting
but all Packs around the globe are coming together for the War." "What!"
Shane spitted in disgust. "I
just spoken to the King of Alphas and he official declared war on the
demons." Damien looked at me concern. I finally found out who my father
was. He was King of all Werewolves. He gave me away because rumors started
spreading that he had an affair with a human, so he gave me away to the
Roberts. Hoping that my identity would be kept a secret and basically he didn't
want to see me, because I reminded him of his actions. Yeah, it was a very
interesting conversation. But while getting to know my father, I never noticed
that he was not supportive of war. He wanted werewolves to blend in society, so
humans and werewolves could live together in harmony. I never thought he would
agree to something like this. "Shane,
you need to leave and protect Sophie. Take Andrei with you and go to the cabin
on the west side of the forest. There you will be secretly hidden." "Okay,
father. I hope you made the right decision." "Don't
fail me, son. The Pack is depending on you to keep Princess Sophie safe. Plus
we need to protect our blood line. If I die you must become the Alpha of this
Pack." "Yes,
father." Shane bowed in submission turned his father. Damien took Shane in
his arms like it was the last time he would ever see his son. He let go of
Shane and turned to me. "My
precious daughter, I have a gift for you." Damien smiled and opened a
drawer in his desk. He pulled out something wrapped in purple linen. He
unraveled it to reveal a beautiful sword. "It's
beautiful." I smiled as I grabbed the sword. It felt so light it my hand
like a feather. I laughed nervously, "There is a problem though. I don't
know to fight with a sword." "Don't
worry. You will learn how. "He put his hand on my shoulder and smiled at
me. Damien cleared his throat and sat down back in his chair. "Now you two
better run off now! You need to leave here as soon as possible." "Yes,
father." We said in unison. We left in a hurry and ran into Andrei. "Pack your
bags we are leaving." Shane said. "Already
did." Andrei smirked. While Shane was telling Andrei the details I heard
someone call my name. "Sophie,
Sophie!" I turned around and see Catherine running toward me. She had
pixie cut, so her hair was always getting in her face. She was wearing a nice
blue summer dress with silver flats. Catherine had also been kidnapped by Vlad,
but it didn't really impact her. After that day, Catherine became my best
friend. I gave her new clothes and got someone to give her a short cut since
all she did around the mansion is run doing whatever a werewolf told her to do. "Cathy!"
I smiled and ran towards her. "I heard
what happen! Is it true are we going to war?" "Yes." "Are they
going to but you in a secret hideout?" "Yes."
Catherine's eyes started to get glassy as tears starting to form. "Will I
ever see you again?" "Of
course." I pulled her into a hug. "We werewolves are good at kicking
butts. Don't worry it'll probably just blow over since the cause was stupid." "I hope
so." Catherine sniffed. "Sophie."
Shane called to me softly. I looked at him and smiled. "I have to go pack.
Don't worry everything will be fine I promise." "I'm going
to miss you." Catherine hugged me tighter. "I'm going to miss you too." I hugged her back. I had to pull
her off of me and again tell her everything will be okay. I felt tears start to
form in my eyes, but I forced them to stop. I pulled on my serious face and
walked back to the room with Shane. I remembered looking back and saying in my
mind, I'm going to win this
war no matter what my father-in-law says. I have to win it for Catherine.
