A Wisp In the Air

A Wisp In the Air

Delicately perched, peering down
Into the verdant depths of change
Faltering, glancing into the dark
Glimpsing a myriad of broken dolls
Those women I've been not long ago
I inhale, deepening reserve, resolve

Stolidly convinced, about to plunge
Into new, lush wonderland unexplored
Flexing, spreading myself over the horizon
Spying a glint of something beautiful
I exhale, letting chance flutter forth
A wisp in the air, perfumed with hope

Wow! Exquisite selections of words, phrases and scheme. You position the situation with anticipation immediatly and reveal retrospect, introspect, circumspect and prospect in 10 lines. I love the summary line.

You create a flowing depth of reflections.. back to who you were.. pondering who you are.. glints of who you will be.. Simply enchanted, and these last lines are filled with hopeful visions.. something we all need..

This poem is delicate and flows so well. The last line is my favorite . A new adventure in life can be refreshing and quite uplifting. I love this poem for its positive outlook and the words you choice make it beautiful as well.
