Baggage Check (or Lack There-of)A Chapter by Constance-OutspokenIt's okay if you don't get it... It's one of those "this wrote itself for some godforsaken reason" sort of poems.
We embarked upon this journey
at the spur of one breathless moment, without taking care in preparation, since we thought we'd been there so many times before Caprice has its advantages, and yet free spirits can cage one another Setting out on this adventure, unwary, we left our open luggage at the dock, hoping that when we returned everything within would be gone-- wind-swept out to sea Whirlwinds don't swallow the things we always wish they would Laying out our things as we unpacked we found our unchecked baggage full of hideous, coarse, forgotten things-- now languidly sprawled upon our bed, eying us with suspicion Expectations are nice, if you meet them only on their own terms We embarked upon this journey at the spur of one breathless moment and I'm thankful we never prepared because would we be here? or there where we'd already been ? Unchecked baggage can be chucked into a nearby recycle bin The adventure commences anew © 2010 Constance-OutspokenReviews
