Utter Nonsense

They claim actions speak louder than words
Who are they anyhow, and what do they know?
The expressions of the heart and the soul
Audibly or visually displayed for all to see
When at times action would be illegal, or
Even actually wrong

A picture is worth a thousand words?
It would depend on the picture, the writer
For I've known many who could paint
A better picture of a scene than any photo
Taking the subject to deeper meaning
Sometimes too deep

Though I admit, there are moments in life
When no amount of words can express
The way we feel, the things we wish to say
I'd rather have words with me just in case
For when I utter certain words I see who
Stands in silence
