To Those Who Would Seek ChangeA Chapter by Constance-OutspokenWe wanted change, so we cast a vote... But the ballot box was stuffed as ravioli Hanging shards and un-fixable machines Oh, but we're not like England... We don't have a flipping queen.. And they always say sorry Those men in dark suits and thousand dollar boots No reason to worry... it'll all be fine
No reason to worry... it'll all be fine The sun will keep rising, the moon and stars Will always seem to shine in our sky And we're not like China, we have freedom! We are free to pay taxes and tow the line And free to cast a useless vote, and free to lie Just like those men in dark suits and fancy boots
They wanted change, so they started a revolution... (We don't need one of those... we've got a Constitution!) They all got shot in the head, but they tried Didn't fade into the background of voiceless They made their choices, and they tried to make them take And is caring about what happens ever really a mistake? Oh, Mr. Henry, you said "Liberty, or Give ME Death!" Or so they said you said... But remind me how you died?
Remind me again, how did you die? Did you die chasing a mirage, or living a lie? Did you die in servitude to a nameless slave-master? Did you die working your fingers bare for pennies to feed your child? Did you die in a cold house alone, having never really lived? Depending on how it is you live, no one cares just how you die... And the Liberty Bell's still cracked, and the White House defiled.
