Esperando Con La Luna (Waiting With the Moon)A Poem by ConstanceSpanish original with English Translation. Thanks go to my friend Vicente Ruiz who helped to perfect the Spanish Grammar. Sorry. Rhymes in Spanish, but not in English.La luna será mi amante, esta noche
English Translation:
The moon will be my lover, tonight Because today, the fury of passion in its turn Just as everything, and everyone, left me abandoned And who knows when it will turn and come back The moon, possibly, will be faithful, too
In the face of this moon, I see the beauty That ever vacilates, white, in sacred silence Able to cleanse dreams and point me to the path That one can follow to the heavens, and the clouds Where I live in my mind with the beautiful saints
Every night in my dreams beneath this moon, I am more than myself, more than less than nothing When she, the poor face at rest touches, The taste of victory is never very far away And rapidly the most ugly become beautiful
Yes... the moon is the perfect lover for me Precious friend with whom I can wait a moment Until passion again returns to my side In this way, I pass my nights without you. © 2008 ConstanceAuthor's Note
