![]() Little Brother (For Kizz)A Poem by ConstanceIt was Kismet when we found one another Little lost thing that you were, I took you in My long lost friend, my little baby brother
When I'm down, or ill, you come and lay beside me You brush my face and hair with your cheek, We talk, but you don't say a word, just listen politely Cooing rather unintelligably, your voice so meek And remind me that I am loved, befriended
You go out, sometimes, and leave me missing you But you always come back, sometimes bringing me A precious little gift you've found- like a dead bat It may not seem like it sometimes, but I'm glad we Have you in our lives, my chubby old tomcat. © 2008 ConstanceAuthor's Note
