EverythingA Poem by ConstanceIt is Love we have been making all the while...All that I want from you is... everything From first sleepy smile and morning caress And every stolen moment a day can bring Down to the hour when, tired, we undress And fall to the pillows ALMOST too spent To make love with slow, quiet tenderness
Everything... is all that I want from you Your dreams and hopes whispered low Amidst the fears and sorrows, too Those thoughts you gaurd deep in your soul Further development of the bond we share While making love, so quiet and slow
From you... everything is all that I want The minutes spent listening to rain fall With echoes and mumbles that softly haunt While I hold you close and hear its call Your trembling heart that only I can move And not only by making love- not at all
I want from you all that is... everything Your quirks and flaws that make me smile The daily blessings you always bring Gift- wrapped within your mirth and wile For while we can't always be making love It is love we have been making all the while
