Let it Fall

Let it Fall

A Poem by Constance
"

Another poem from the depths of insomnia.

"

Tonight I shed my fear
Like a dusty overcoat
Letting it fall
From my shoulders
Caught rigid in the chill

No one hears a sob
In the middle of a storm
So I let it fall
From my face
Suddenly vulnerable in the light

Tomorrow I will hear
A song on the tip of my tongue
And I will let it fall
From my mouth
Captive to my soul

The ears rage, recreating the sound of storms and words and loves uttered softly
The mind sees more than the eyes when one needs sleep
The eyes seek to know but have no sense of wisdom, can only seek.
The heart is treading on the same old path, worn and weary
The mouth cannot remember how to make a sound that comes out right
Tonight

About
I write about my past, my own real experiences. Even my poetry is inspired by my life. I was, I suppose, born writing, making up stories and rhymes from about when I started to speak, but had to wait .. more..
