I knew You

I knew You

A Poem by console

In moments past, a distant time,

When stars still danced, our spirits climbed,

I knew you when the world was new,

When dreams were born and skies were blue.

Your laughter rang like silver bells,

In meadows green, by whispering wells,

I knew you when the sun would rise,

Painting the dawn in golden ties.

Through seasons changing, we did grow,

Yet traces of the past still glow,

I knew you when our hearts were free,

Writing a tale, just you and me.

A whispered breeze, the laughter we'd share,

Moments painted in colors rare.

Through days of sun and nights of moonlit glen,

"I Knew You When," a chapter that won't end.

In memories etched, forever penned,

A cherished bond that will not end,

I knew you when life's journey began,

And in my heart, you'll always stand.

I really like the near rhyme used here...abiding love.
Reminds me of this song by Billy Joe Royal

and there are many tears in the journey of love.
