The End of Thought

The End of Thought

A Poem by Conrad Wrobel
"

Consider, if you will, existence.

"

Searching through this existential haze,

            I find that:

                                    Life,

The Universe,

   And Everything,

Is nothing…

For one can see only as far as the mind’s eye,

And the eye can see only as far as the conscience,

                                    And if that is tainted…

You will be blind.

Forever dwindling down the corridors of your mind.

Now stop,

            Think,

                        Consider,

                                    The possibility,

That life is more than meets the eye.

Is more than glamour and pleasure.

                        Is greater than love,

                       War,

                                   Or success.

Life

Is

     Everything.

Or nothing at all.
