A Poem by The Last Philospher

Nothing to fear
Except maybe myself
A monster tamed solely
By a Leviathan Mind
All things in balance
Until the whip bearer rests

My most reliable defense
Now turned against me
My impenetrable shield
Now a torturous cage

The sharpest attacks
To and from myself
Like a razor sharp spear
Danger Unchained

But this is a mere itch at nighttime
Nothing severe
An encounter with Poison Ivy
And a dramatic protest.

leviathan by thomas hobbes, the father of egoism. I like the vision, the relatedness with the book and of course the philosophy. well done.
