Soft Rain

Soft Rain

A Poem by Connie Noelle
"

Warm soft rain spring walking outside and enjoying the feeling of the rain

"

Soft rain

Soft warm rain, soaking steaming

the misty morning dreaming.

I lift my hair as droplets play

a rhythm without meaning.

Just free and clear and gently

the delicious raindrops touch me.

The rivulets like fingers

draw wonder from the maybe.

Stretching reaching tall and high

tip to drop can I

reach the cloud-soft belly and

caress the tender sky?

Can I leave the meaning

the heavens so disdain

and just enjoy the moment

in the tender falling rain?

Did I read this one before, Connie? I should go back and see if it's in the ones you passed my way. If it is, I don't remember it being so beautiful! "I lift my hair as droplets play|a rhythm without meaning" It's vivid and so full of it's own strong rhythm that it pulls you into the poem. Beautiful.

What a great poem! I think it must be about the best one about rain that I've ever seen. You did a wonderful job, Connie.
