Darkness

I wait by myself

at a corner so dark.

Waiting for the light

that will never show.

The longer I wait

the darker it gets.

Eventually I run

to find the light.

I tried to run

from the fear so big.

That the darkness consumed me

one time at a bit.

No escaping this darkness

a feeling so blank.

You can scream and yell

but, no one will hear.
