Mom I Once KnewA Poem by Bandgeek
I once had a mom who was sweet as can be I laughed so hard when she tickled me She kissed me goodnight and awoke me in the morning Her sweet voice that chimed most of the time The rest of the time mom and dad always screamed Mom tells me to hide when they get this way a week had passed and it didnt get any better One day at school I got a funny feeling That something was wrong I raced afterschool To the place I call home The doors where locked but the windows were not I crawled through the window to an unwelcome feeling I walk room to room thay all were familiar The dining room kitchen to the living room and my room Then last was my parents room the sound of their screaming filled my ears with dispair I ran to my room and hid so well The screaming now halted no more noise seemed to come I walked out slowly to a silence from above I ran to my parents room to find red seeping out I open the door to find mom covered in red I look around to find my dad oozing red to my disbeleif the red was blood the blood of the man I loved and feared I ran so fast I couldnt breath I ran to my neighbors and knocked on their door they asked me what happened I told them the truth Mommy killed daddy and the truth was let out Mom came running to me saying she was sorry but the words are confusing the meanings not the same the cops came now I tried to run but fear over came me they sat me down and asked me questions about things i didnt know my mom went away for a very long time my life was changed from that one ugly day caused by the mom I once knew © 2012 Bandgeek |
