Recycled Existence

Recycled Existence

A Poem by AlanaLJay

Thoughts of life being recycled fill the skies. Each Star representing a thought, feeling, a life being recycled.
From me to you.
I let go of this life and you get the recycled version. As insignificant as that rock in the sky is the life you receive. Pity isn't it. You look so disappointed with it.
Yes, my life is disappointing and first to admit it is me, its owner. I cant blame its previous owner just like you cant blame me.
A bit of advice, let go of dreams, aspirations, let go of hope. this recycled life i hand over to you will contain none of it. It's dark, sad, lifeless, depressed. Yes, depressed is what you will feel.
This life has no friends. Believe me you are better off without them. I tried to interact with others and failed horribly.
Let go of dreams and thoughts of love. Dreams of friends, dreams of more than what I hand you now. This life is its its state because of failure and trying too hard. Soon you will learn to accept it.
Learn to be lonely with your thoughts and dreams of a life you once wished for. Don't become lost in them though. You'll lose it all. Control gone. You'll become like me. A bit insane.
I now hand over this recycled life and allow you to cherish it.
Don't follow me though for the place i go to is reserved for those who made it through the crazy, made it through alone.
Don't follow me for the place i am going to is reserved for those about to drown in eternal sleep.
