A strangled heart

A strangled heart

A Poem by conceited
"

yuck

"

out of breath
drowning in tears
of desperation
becoming a mess
frowning with fears
surpassing depression
frozen in a mask
wings broken
Soul dead with expression
life without you is task
you haven’t spoken
I can still feel the tension
heaven is hell
without you
I thought I’d mention
wish I could tell
You what I do
to carry on, explanation
Optimism
replaced by sorrow
misery sleeps with me
at night
waiting for you
remember the halo
I let you borrow?
the days are dark
have no light
debating what to do
I close my eyes
see your smile
For that second
I remember
