A War To Call

This is a poem about fighting for what you believe and quelling the evil that is always present. I wrote this during a hard time in my own life where I was weary of fighting but never gave up the figh

Of troubled seas and calming waves

And sandy shores betwixt,

The careless wretch through endless laves

Await the tide infixed.

 

The hopeless depths of angry sea

Have filled partitioned heart,

Come granulate the restless quay

Enraptured from the start.

 

Bitter words quelled for a time

As peace through silence wrought,

Penned in solace, witty rhyme

A candid life well fought.

 

Now close the tome in silent pause

And batten hatches tight,

To war with deadly ancient foe

‘Til dawn the breaking light.
