Repurposed

A Poem by ComposerofWords
"

This is a poem about changing one's course direction for good as there was a constant struggle coming from within

"

Return the stifled life once bought

Forsake the mundane charted dross,

Cull the flesh where wars are fought

And sleight the mind’s persuasive thoughts.

Carry out life’s favored son

Don’t tarry long for flesh is weak,

Burdened tares fight to be won

But battles’ fray award the meek.

Concur the speech ‘twixt pillared grace

Stifle not the Spirit’s tongue,

Address the crimson fallowed state

Depart the calloused life unsung.

Through bended knee and heightened plea

Through tear-stained cheek and sorrowed prose,

Out, transient ways and inward praise

In, love and tender life reposed.

Author's Note

ComposerofWords
Would love to read how my poetry moved you, spoke to you or whether you liked or disliked it. I have struggled with my poetry over these past near 40 years, and my audience has been very small as I am rather self-conscious about who I share my writing with.
