Snowfall

Snowfall

A Poem by Qistina

snowfall floats to my skin
where, for a moment,
fire touches me and
i am damp.

drops lick down my cheeks
where they scorch and die,
giving the impression that
i was weeping.

the snow blazes abundantly from
the welkins, burning and
burning as its ashes cling to
my frigid fingers.

the sky is crying fire,
but once it touches
the world, it spreads and
becomes something beautiful

that we call snow.

Such a lovely poem. Written with wonderful contrast. Snow as heat. Written from the sensation of the observer. Very nice.

This is beautiful, your description of the winter weather is stunning and vibrant. Fire forms the skies above with white, falling without care to cover and comfort us with our own simplest desires. Very nice

Beautiful, i love winter, coldness & snowfall as well indeed. loved it, loved your few lines,

the snow blazes abundantly from
the welkins, burning and
burning as its ashes cling to
my frigid fingers...

really it's a mice stanza, i'd say, i loved it much from other stanzas, so reality in this stanza. Very nice.

This is such a beautiful write! I loved the way you compared snow with fire in the first stanza! Beautiful poem altogether!

Welcome to Writerscafe.org!
This poem is very nice! I like the great...how can I call it...personification you gave snow. You made this reaction from nature in wintertime a very beautiful thing.
Keep it up!
And I would like to thank you for subscribing to my writing. I do hope that you find my poems worthy of reading.
