If I couldA Poem by Ivan Mauricio Urrego
If time could be contained
or the hour-glass detained, and day was not the waking time and night had not a rhyme, if life was but a frozen instant --and death was not the sum of days I could count to love you, a thousand loving ways.
If years could be count in praise more or so to your melodic voice and gaze, twenty decades to your look, to your face that makes simplicity a grace, a hundred would go to adore each breast but a thousand more to the rest, then a millennia to every part and all ages to your heart. © 2010 Ivan Mauricio UrregoReviews
