Meow Kitty Why

Second piece involving cats? Coincidence, I swear.

Meow, meow
Kitty, what's new?
Master's got a gun
And he's pointing it at you.

Oh, no
Kitty,what'd you do?
Seems you've peed on the couch again;
How could you?

You say
Timmy hasn't cleaned
The catbox in a week, oh
Well, now
Kitty, what else is new?
You should really see the state
Of Timmy's own bathroom


Tim's father said
If kitty
Pisses on the couch again
He's gonna shoot her
In the head.

How could Timmy have known
That it wasn't a joke when he said
Shoot my cat and I'll pee on your bed?

That didn't go so well.


Run, run
Kitty, he's coming
Daddy's got a .22 caliber gun

Tim can
Rifle through the closet
All day long for hiding spots
But
You won't hide
From the rifle.


I guess Kitty
Should have thought of that
Before a cat became a pet
Now Timmy's got a mess to clean
And a bed to pee on.

Author's Note

Soon to be put to music. I'm not very good at organizing that verse/chorus/verse crap, so criticism there is welcome as is criticism of any sort.

Oh, poor Kitty. While disturbing to think that someone would shoot a cat, I found this poem entertaining. You did a great job telling the story and setting the tone via a poem. I thought it flowed well, and I was amused even though it was a disturbing tale. Thank you for sharing your writing on the Cafe, and I hope to read more in the future.

pOoR kitty!!! i am a cat lover so this was a little scary for me. i like what your trying to do here your feeling is there and so is the intensity just a little more organization. maybe more from the cat's point of view would give it a lil more emotion.
