Happiness is a Quick FixA Poem by Chance CarterA poem about how addictions speak. (:You've been thrown away like a paper plane, falling down again. We're lost in the shadows, a little wish away, just a thought away. You're crashing and burning everything is gone again we're no longer trapped and hid away. Come on Just one more shot, let's swallow the pain we can drown the brain. How about another fix? Let's cover up the pain we'll hallucinate the day. Just cut into the vein, we can lessen the pain by making one that's greater. Maybe we can feel again, drive the numbness away. Maybe we can die today, just one more needle one more drink one more cut away.
