Happiness is a Quick Fix

Happiness is a Quick Fix

A Poem by Chance Carter
"

A poem about how addictions speak. (:

"
You've been thrown away
like a paper plane,
falling down again.
We're lost in the shadows,
a little wish away,
just a thought away.
You're crashing and burning
everything is gone again
we're no longer trapped and hid away.

Come on
Just one more shot,
let's swallow the pain
we can drown the brain.

How about another fix?
Let's cover up the pain
we'll hallucinate the day.

Just cut into the vein,
we can lessen the pain
by making one that's greater.

Maybe
we can feel again,
drive the numbness away.
Maybe
we can die today,
just one more
needle
one more
drink
one more
cut
away.

I don't have anything that is notable overall. It happened to be a shape of a needle when I had finished it, which I thought was pretty cool. Critique anything, and please share. :D
