A Hawk On A Branch
And Eagle Above,
The hawk immobilized by
It's Captors
Calls out to his friend.
The Eagle
Flies to the North
Back To reality
The playground swing snaps me back
It wails as loud as my heart
Little Kids laughter
Joyfull, Happy
I cry invisible tears
Bound by the park
No where to go.
"Friends come and go,
But You Always have the same
Parents"
How would they feel if I left?
I am not a Kid to be sheltered.
Not one to want to be worried about.
I like to wander,
to roam and explore,
But hiding the tiger in a
cage of reeds will
not work.
I am independent
Alone is my thing
With the comfort of friends
Walking down the street.
A Bird in a Glass cage,
Nobody hears it's cries.
It watches freedom,
Taste it,
Smell It
But Touch it?
Shall It eat
Eden's Fruit?
Nevertheless,
It squawks
It screeches
My cried are toned out,
Tossed away
I am A Hawk And The Park Is My Cage
