A Poem by jamie mae

my love burns line a sixteenth century cliche
brilliant in intensity, as a myriad of suns
keep a steady tenure, your hands clutching me
gaze long enough, so i may trap you closer
beauty shines, pouring from within
as waves crash, washing all, but you, away
heartbeat runs on a rythymn all it's own
sening my mind swirling, in the best of ways
