A Poem by Collette Clark

Pictures of us litter my bedroom and binder

My cell phone blows up with your texts and calls

But now, I can't even think of you happily

I don't miss you

I miss who you used to be

Apparently I hate you?

Nah

I hate that you became what you said you'd never be

So cut me off

Take me out

Erase those memories

Replace the pictures on your shelf

There is no "you and me"

I'm not sorry

Things just aren't what they used to be

You say we're "good friends"

But really, we're not anymore

I'm tired of the excuses

The lies

The everything

I'm done with it all

I would rather let go than be dragged

So cut me off

Take me out

Erase those memoreis

Repalce those pictures on your shelf

There is no "you and me"

I'm not sorry

Things just aren't what they used to be

Where did the time go?

Yesterday we shared laughter

Tomorrow I'll toss my cap with a whole new class of '13

Today you're no more than a familiar stranger to me

So cut me off

Take me out

Erase those memores

Replace the pictures on your shelf

There is no "you and me"

I'm not sorry

Things just aren't what they used to be
